“Conférence des Grandes Ecoles” (CGE)

CPE Lyon is part of the CGE association that federates more than 230 Grandes Ecoles. They all deliver diplomas accredited by the government: national diploma or Master of Science.

CPE Lyon delivers a postgraduate diploma called “Mastère spécialisé” in biotechnology & chemical engineering that has been accredited by CGE in 2015.

“Conférence des Directeurs des Ecoles Françaises d’Ingénieurs” (CDEFI)

The Conference of Deans of French Schools of Engineering (CDEFI) is a non-profit association of deans of French public and private schools of engineering and universities of technology authorized by the CTI (a French accreditation agency) to deliver the French engineering degree.
CPE Lyon representatives take part in the workshops according to their current issues.

“Fédération des établissements d’enseignement supérieur d’intérêt collectif”(FESIC)

FESIC organisation represents private, non-profit associative higher education institutions: 25 engineering, management and human and social sciences schools.

FESIC created the “EESPIG” -for non-profit private higher education institutions- certification in 2013, that helps to identify private, non-profit institutions that work in partnership with the French government and contribute to public service projects of higher education and research.

Gérard Pignault, Director of CPE Lyon, is part of the FESIC board, in charge of social relationships .
FESIC organisation also manages the Puissance Alpha competitive exam, that allows students to  enter CPE Lyon after the BAC.

“Concours Communs Polytechniques” group

CPE Lyon is one of the 33 engineering schools that compose the “Concours Polytechniques” group, an association in charge of organising the “Concours Communs Polytechniques”: this is the competitive exam to enter the engineering schools for students who have studied in Preparatory classes ( BAC+2 level).

“Fédération Gay-Lussac” (FGL)

The Gay-Lussac federation , which exists since 1994, is the oldest theme based network in the world of Engineering Schools. It offers the 20 schools which constitute the FGL, better visibility and allows them to pursue concrete actions which provide a real advantage for training engineers.

• International Chem.I.St (CHEMistry International STudies) programme

Gérard Pignault, Director of CPE Lyon, is member of the Fédération Gay-Lussac executive committee.
Christine Legrand, CPE Lyon communications and industrial relations Director, is also member of the FGL executive committee as communications director.

Regional and local networks

“Alliance des Grandes Ecoles Rhône-Alpes Auvergne” (AGERA)

AGERA, the Alliance of the Grandes Écoles in Rhône-Alpes, is a regional association that brings together higher education institutes into a network.  Forty Grandes Ecoles from the Auvergne Rhone-Alps Region are members of this network, which caters for around 33.000 students, in other words, 12% of the Region’s student population.

Gérard Pignault, Director of CPE Lyon, is member of the AGERA executive committee as Vice-president.
Christine Legrand, CPE Lyon communications and industrial relations Director, is also member of the AGERA executive committee as communications director.

“Université de Lyon”

The Université de Lyon is a world-class academic site of excellence. Awarded the IDEX label in 2017, it is located at the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in Lyon & Saint-Étienne.

The Université de Lyon, which is structured around 12 member institutions (Universities and Grandes Ecoles) and 25 associated institutions, has three major objectives:

• To be a major, attractive and responsible University
• To provide outstanding training and research opportunities
• To develop and promote the dynamics of the Lyon Saint-Etienne site.

“Institut Polytechnique de Lyon” (IPL)

This is the association of the four Lyon associative non-profit Engineering schools: CPE Lyon, ECAM, ISARA, ITECH.
Its purpose is to set up common projects, share experiences and make easier the day-to-day running of the schools.
